Love Live!

Love Live! follows Otonokizaka High School as its student body dwindles and the administration prepares to close the doors once the current first-years graduate. Refusing to accept that future, second-year Honoka Kousaka looks for a way to save the school and is inspired by the popularity of A-RISE, a celebrated school idol group. With help from her childhood friends Umi Sonoda and Kotori Minami, she forms μ's (pronounced "muse") and begins building a school idol project meant to draw attention back to Otonokizaka. The road is far from simple. Student council president Eri Ayase opposes the idea and tries to stop the group before it can even begin, while Honoka and her friends struggle to recruit new members and define what they can accomplish together. As the deadline approaches, the girls throw themselves into rehearsals, performances, and the growing world of school idols, all while racing to qualify for Love Live, the national competition that crowns Japan's most beloved school idol groups. For Honoka, saving the school depends on turning μ's into more than a club: it has to become a force that can inspire everyone around them.
