Nanami Yamashita is a Japanese voice actress from Tokushima Prefecture, born on July 19, 1995. She is also known by the nickname Nanamin (ななみん), has blood type A, lists chatting as a hobby, and names the flute as a special skill.
Her background includes classical ballet from age 3 to 15 and leadership experience in middle school, when she served as the flute section leader in the brass band. Compared with the other members, she had the least amount of experience and knew little about anime culture at first, so she was not initially interested in anime and felt less confident in her acting. Over time, she was influenced by the other members little by little, and that early distance from anime shaped the way she approached her training and made her growth more noticeable.
At first, she did not enjoy voice-acting lessons because she was unfamiliar with anime and unsure of her acting. As her character Hisami Nanami began to develop, she started to enjoy voice acting and began to want to work as an independent voice actress. Because vocal lessons also included anime songs, she had to work harder while she was still unfamiliar with the genre.
Outside of training, her hobbies include talking, playing the flute, aromas, and psychological tests. Her favorite foods are fried rice and apple pie, and she is said to collect rings and be an impulse shopper. Her favorite voice actress is Rie Kugimiya, whose work in Toradora! was the first time anime had made her cry, and Nanami has said she learned many things from Kugimiya's performance as Aisaka Taiga. In April 2026, she was also announced as part of the cast participating in the film Osomatsu-san.
