Biography
LAMA is a Japanese rock supergroup formed in December 2010. The band began when Miki Furukawa invited Hisako Tabuchi and Kouji Nakamura to start the project. Kensuke Ushio later joined at Nakamura's invitation. In the lineup, Furukawa and Nakamura, both formerly of Supercar, share vocal duties, while the group brings together backgrounds in alternative rock, indie, and electronic production.
LAMA gave its first live performance on April 27, 2011 at Shibuya WWW in a joint concert with KIMONOS. The band made its major debut on Kioon Music on August 3, 2011 with the single "Spell," which was used as the opening theme for No.6. "Fantasy" was later used as the ending theme for Un-Go. Their music combines guitar-driven rock with digital textures and atmospheric arrangements, built around the interplay between Furukawa and Nakamura's vocals.
