kukui is a Japanese music group formed in 2004 and associated with the Lantis label. The project is made up of ハリケン, myu, and 霜月はるか, and its official website is http://kukui.cc/.
The group grew out of refio, originally a unit by myu and riya. After riya left to form eufonius with 菊地創, refio became myu's solo project. It then released the single "透明シェルター" with 霜月はるか as refio＋霜月はるか.
After that release, the project began activities as kukui and made a new debut with the album "光の螺旋律". Its name was taken from the Hawaiian kukui tree. kukui has performed music for anime and games, including "Kyomu no Hana (虚無の華)", the ending theme for "Katanagatari".
