Rozen Maiden centers on Jun Sakurada, a traumatized shut-in who spends his days ordering things online and sending them back, until a strange note and a single word—"yes"—pull him into the world of living dolls. The first doll to reach him is Shinku, a wind-up doll and the fifth of the Rozen Maiden, a group of sentient dolls created by the legendary dollmaker Rozen. To enter the Alice Game, the battle royale that will decide which sister becomes the perfect doll known as Alice, Shinku needs a human medium, and Jun becomes the unlikely one who can answer that role.
As more of the Rozen Maiden move into Jun’s home, his quiet life turns into a supernatural struggle filled with rival dolls, hidden dangers, and old enemies resurfacing from the past. What begins as reluctant cooperation slowly becomes a bond of trust, and Jun is forced to face the fear that has kept him isolated for so long. Together, Jun and the dolls must endure the demands of the Alice Game while learning what it means to rely on others, protect one another, and keep moving forward.
