Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets

Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets is a Japanese rock band with roots in 2004, when 岸田 began working under the shorter name Kishida Kyoudan. The project released its debut album, SUPERNOVA, in 2005. In 2007, it expanded from a one-man unit into a full band. That was when vocalist ichigo joined and 岸田 assembled a lineup for the Touhou live event Flowering Night. The group continued after that performance, and its members have included ichigo, 岸田, and みっちゃん. Its members are from or based in Fukuoka Prefecture, and the band has released music through NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan LLC. It has been associated with j-rock, pop rock, and rock. The band works across original material and Touhou arrangements. Its major debut came in 2010 with the single "HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD", used as the opening theme of Highschool of the Dead. It later performed anime songs such as "Strike the Blood (ストライク・ザ・ブラッド)", "GATE: Sore wa Akatsuki no you ni (GATE～それは暁のように～)", "Sirius (シリウス)", and "Tensei Shitara Ken deshita (転生したら剣でした)".
