Gero (ゲロ), also known as Gerorin, is a Japanese utaite and singer from Hyogo, Japan. He built his reputation through Niconico Douga, where his covers earned attention for a powerful, emotional delivery and a low-pitched voice that can still reach striking high notes. One of the performances often cited in connection with that range is his cover of "Just Be Friends".
Before fully establishing himself online, Gero entered the music scene under his real name, Hiroki Kinjou, and took part in the 3rd Annual Anisong Grand Prix, where he reached the finals. That experience helped connect him to the broader anisong and anime music world, while his presence on Niconico Douga kept him closely associated with the utaite community.
His early training also included four years with the Himawari Theatre Group, giving him a foundation in performance arts and stage expression. That background is reflected in the intensity and control that listeners often recognize in his singing.
The name "Gero" comes from Japanese slang for "vomit" and was inspired by the nausea he felt while recording his first video, a story that has become part of his identity. Beyond solo work, he also collaborates with fellow utaite Meychan as part of the YouTuber group Niku Chomoranma, showing his versatility across online music projects.
