GARNiDELiA is a Japanese music unit formed on September 11, 2010, by vocalist Mai Mizuhashi, known as MARiA, and composer-producer Yoshinori Abe, known as toku. The duo works in electropop and J-pop, and their music connects internet-born performance with anime themes. Before forming GARNiDELiA, toku had written and arranged songs for Angela Aki, LiSA, An Café, and other artists, while MARiA had also appeared as a guest vocalist with musicians such as Jin.
The name GARNiDELiA is associated with "Le Palais Garnier de Maria ; The Place maria Sings)." MARiA’s videos uploaded on the internet have exceeded 2 million views, and her first video as a dancer, "girl," reached 650,000 views. toku’s signature song "SPiCa" has reached 1 million views online, and the total views of all his songs exceed 10 million views. Before the group’s major debut in spring 2014 with the single "ambiguous," the opening song for Kill la Kill, GARNiDELiA released "COLOR," which was chosen as the theme song for Freezing. Their label history includes DefSTAR Records (2014-2015), SME Records (2015-2017), SACRA MUSIC (2017-2019), USM Japan (2020-2021), and Pony Canyon (2021-). On September 2, 2025, the duo announced an indefinite hiatus.
