CooRie (クーリエ) is a Japanese self-produced music unit led by singer-songwriter rino, best known for performing songs for anime and games. The project is closely associated with rino's melodic, emotional style, and it has remained a recognizable name in anime-related music through her work as both vocalist and songwriter.
CooRie debuted in 2003 as a two-person unit. At that time, rino handled the lyrics and vocals, while Naoyuki Osada (長田直之) was responsible for the music compositions and arrangements. That original division gave the project a clear identity from the beginning, with rino's voice and writing paired with Osada's production work.
By the end of 2003, Osada had left the unit, and rino continued CooRie on her own while keeping the same name. From then on, she also composed the music herself, in addition to writing the lyrics and performing the vocals. She sometimes releases songs under her own name, especially when the song is for adult games.
CooRie's records have been released under Lantis and Mellow Head (On the Run), placing the project within familiar Japanese anime and game music labels. For listeners searching for an anime song artist or a rino-led unit, CooRie stands out as an established project with a clear connection to anime, games, and heartfelt pop songwriting.
