Snowball Earth begins with Tetsuo, the lone survivor of a battle that cost him his companion Yukio and sent him away in an escape pod. Eight years later, he wakes from cold sleep and returns to Earth expecting answers, only to find a planet buried beneath ice and snow. The world he knew has collapsed into ruin, and the fate of humanity is still unknown.
Driven by the promise he made to Yukio, Tetsuo crosses a frozen wasteland in search of the truth behind the catastrophe. As he moves deeper into the silence, he has to confront loss, memory, and the fragile remnants of civilization left behind in the cold. Snowball Earth follows that struggle as a survival mystery, balancing the vast image of a dead planet with the intimate pressure of grief and resolve. Each new trace of the old world pushes Tetsuo closer to understanding what happened and to the hope that something human may still remain beneath the ice. The farther he travels, the more that hope is tested by the brutal landscape around him.
