Record of Ragnarok opens every thousand years with the gods of Greek, Norse, Hindu, and other mythologies gathering to decide whether humanity deserves another chance to live. After condemning mankind as selfish and voting unanimously to wipe it out, the council is interrupted by Brunhilde, one of the 13 Valkyries of Valhalla, who forces the gods to hear one final proposal before the decree can be carried out.
Rather than ask for mercy, Brunhilde invokes Ragnarök: a brutal tournament in which the strongest 13 mortal warriors face 13 gods in one-on-one battles. The gods dismiss the challenge at first, but their pride turns the trial into an agreement they cannot easily refuse. To keep humanity alive, Brunhilde must travel through a thousand years of history and gather the greatest heroes mankind has ever produced, from legendary rulers and feared fighters to figures whose names still inspire awe.
As each match begins, the arena becomes a battlefield of faith, ego, and raw power, with the fate of humanity hanging on every victory. The series combines mythological spectacle, high-stakes combat, and the desperate gamble of a species fighting for survival.
