Samurai Flamenco follows Masayoshi Hazama, a young man who has spent his life chasing a childhood dream of becoming a real superhero. By day, he works as a famous model; by night, he becomes the self-styled Samurai Flamenco, wearing only a costume and relying on a personal creed that a hero will never give up, never hide, never be defeated, and never accept evil. He starts out policing everyday wrongdoing, taking on rebellious juveniles, petty thieves, and even people who litter, convinced that justice can be enforced through determination alone.
His crusade soon draws public attention, and policeman Hidenori Gotou discovers his secret identity. Gotou initially tells him to leave crime-fighting to the police, but he eventually joins Masayoshi in his antics, and the two begin to face situations far stranger than simple street-level mischief. What starts as a campaign against littering and small-time crime grows into bizarre adventures that even touch the fate of the world, pulling Masayoshi, Gotou, and their newfound comrades into a struggle with both external threats and their own ideals. Along the way, Samurai Flamenco asks what it really means to be a hero, with or without superpowers.
