Ranma ½

Ranma ½ centers on Ranma Saotome, a gifted martial artist trained in the Anything-Goes school, whose training trip to China ends in disaster when he falls into a cursed spring. From that moment on, cold water turns him into a girl and hot water restores his original body, turning everyday life into a frantic struggle to keep the curse hidden. Back in Japan, Genma Saotome tries to turn the situation into an advantage by arranging a marriage between Ranma and the Tendo family, tying him to Akane Tendo, the youngest daughter, a proud fighter who wants no part of an unwanted engagement. Across the franchise, that absurd premise drives a mix of martial arts duels, rival suitors, family obligations, and supernatural mishaps, with the Tendo household caught at the center of the chaos. Ranma ½ balances slapstick timing with romantic tension, letting each confrontation swing between broad comedy and real character friction. Whether the cast is sparring at school, clashing at home, or getting pulled into yet another bizarre contest, every misunderstanding can explode into a fight, and every fight can leave the household even more tangled than before.
