Persona 4 the Animation

Persona 4 the Animation unfolds in Inaba, a quiet rural town unsettled by a string of serial murders that the police cannot explain. Because his parents are working abroad, Yuu Narukami moves there for a year to live with his uncle and begins classes at Yasogami High School, where he quickly befriends Yousuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, and Yukiko Amagi. After school they trade rumors about the Midnight Channel, a mysterious broadcast said to appear only at midnight on rainy days when someone watches alone. Curious, Yuu tunes in and sees the image of the next victim, then discovers that he can be pulled into the television itself. Beyond the screen lies a fog-covered world inhabited by hostile creatures called Shadows. There Yuu and his friends meet Kuma, whose knowledge of the other side deepens their suspicions that the TV world and the murders are connected. As the Investigation Team takes shape, its members risk themselves to rescue people trapped in that realm and uncover the truth behind the incidents in Inaba. What begins as a local mystery gradually draws in allies such as Kanji Tatsumi, Rise Kujikawa, and Naoto Shirogane, blending school life, supernatural battles, and a murder case that hangs over the town whenever rain gives way to fog.
