Paripi Koumei follows Zhuge Kongming, the legendary strategist whose name was forged in the wars of the Three Kingdoms period of third-century China. After leading his army through countless grueling victories, Kongming falls gravely ill during the Battle of Wuzhang Plains. Exhausted by endless conflict and burdened by regret, he draws his final breath with one wish: if he is ever reborn, let it be in a peaceful era.
That wish is granted when Kongming awakens in modern-day Tokyo, suddenly young again but still carrying all of his memories. Disoriented by the unfamiliar world around him, he wanders into a nightclub and meets Eiko Tsukimi, an aspiring singer whose performance instantly captures his attention. Eiko takes him under her wing and teaches him how this new age works, while Kongming quickly becomes fascinated by contemporary music and the possibilities it holds. Seeing Eiko’s enormous musical potential, he vows to help her succeed and soon becomes her manager.
From there, Kongming brings battlefield strategy into the music industry, turning timing, deception, and planning into tools for promotion. Even so, the road to success remains unforgiving, and he must guide Eiko carefully if he wants her talent to be recognized.
