StylipS

StylipS (スタイリップス) is a Japanese J-pop seiyuu pop girl group, a sub-unit of HAPPY! STYLE under Up-Front, with releases through Lantis. It was formed in November 2011 from the same members as the promotional unit Team DEKARIS. At the start, the group was a quartet of voice actresses: Arisa Noto, Kaori Ishihara, Yui Ogura, and Maho Matsunaga. Its official sites opened in December 2011, and on December 28, 2011 it held its first event, "Brand-new Style volume zero〜はじめまして!StylipSです!!〜", at Sunshine City Fountain Square in Ikebukuro. StylipS made its recording debut with "STUDY x STUDY" on February 8, 2012. The group became closely associated with anime music through theme song work and character performances. Its original members also voiced characters in High School DxD, for which StylipS performed the ending themes "STUDY x STUDY" and "Give Me Secret (ギブミー・シークレット)". The lineup changed in spring 2013. On April 20, 2013, Yui Ogura and Kaori Ishihara were announced to graduate because of concerns that the workload could affect their studies. The best album "THE LIGHTNING CELEBRATION", centered on that era of the group, followed on April 24, 2013. Moe Toyota and Miku Itou were announced as new members on April 27, 2013, and the new lineup made its first release with the fourth single "Prism Sympathy" on July 24, 2013. During this period, StylipS also performed for series including Fate/Zero and Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to. For the latter, it sang both the opening "Junsui na Fujunbutsu (純粋なフジュンブツ)" and the ending "Spica.". From summer 2015, Maho Matsunaga's poor health led to repeated absences from events. A three-member configuration of Arisa Noto, Moe Toyota, and Miku Itou briefly appeared under the name StylipS☆☆☆ at あに☆ぱら ～anime paradise～ 2015 in 名古屋. On May 23, 2016, StylipS announced Matsunaga's graduation after she left her agency and retired from voice acting. After that, the remaining members were Arisa Noto, Moe Toyota, and Miku Itou, while former members are Yui Ogura, Kaori Ishihara, and Maho Matsunaga. Group activity became sporadic and effectively paused after a secret guest appearance at Moe Toyota's birthday event on March 18, 2017. For the group's 10th anniversary in 2022, Ishihara, Ogura, Toyota, and Itou reunited for one night at Animelo Summer Live 2022 -Sparkle-, and StylipS's songs were subsequently made available on streaming services.
