Asobi ni Iku yo!

Asobi ni Iku yo! follows Kio Kakazu, an ordinary high school boy whose quiet life changes when he meets Eris, a cat-eared girl from the planet Catian, during a memorial service for one of his ancestors. Before long, Eris ends up staying at Kio's home while she learns about Earth and the people living on it. What begins as an awkward act of hospitality soon pulls Kio into a hidden conflict that is larger than his everyday life. Several organizations want to capture Eris and keep her existence secret, and some of the people around him are secretly connected to them. As the pressure grows, Kio has to decide how far he will go to protect Eris while trying to preserve the ordinary world he knows. The series blends sci-fi intrigue, comedy, and fanservice, using Eris's outsider perspective to turn Earth into a place of curiosity, danger, and constant surprises. Its appeal comes from the contrast between domestic day-to-day scenes and the sense that something much bigger is always moving just beneath the surface, giving the franchise a playful tone even as the stakes rise around Kio and Eris.
