Zwei

Zwei is a Japanese rock duo formed in June 2003 by Ayumu and Megu. Before coming together, both had performed in separate bands. Megu, a bass guitarist, decided to form the unit after being drawn to Ayumu's voice at a Tokyo live-house event in 2002. Their music blends j-pop and pop rock. The duo made its debut with the single "Movie Star" on May 26, 2004, and later that year released the album "Pretty Queen". In 2006, Zwei announced a move to Universal J. They released "1+1=2" in 2007, then later moved to 5pb.Records around 2009. While continuing their rock-oriented style, the duo also expanded into anime and game music, including "Junjou Spectra (純情スペクトラ)" for "Robotics;Notes" and the ending themes "LAST GAME" and "Lyra" for "Steins;Gate".
