Biography
YUNGBLUD is the stage name of Dominic Harrison, a British singer, songwriter, and performer from Doncaster, England, born on August 5, 1997. Emerging in the late 2010s, he built his identity around a loud, emotionally direct mix of punk rock, alternative rock, pop, and hip-hop, with a sound that also fits alternative rock, rap rock, and indie rock. His image and writing style quickly set him apart as an artist centered on identity, rebellion, and self-expression.
His debut album, 21st Century Liability (2018), introduced that mix of urgency and vulnerability, pairing sharp hooks with lyrics aimed at frustrated young listeners. He followed it with weird! (2020), which expanded his sound while keeping the same confrontational spirit, and in 2022 he released YUNGBLUD, a self-titled album that further established him as a crossover figure in modern alternative music. He is associated with Geffen Records, and his catalog continues to balance raw emotion with melody-driven songwriting.
YUNGBLUD has also collaborated with several major artists, including Halsey, Travis Barker, and Machine Gun Kelly. Those collaborations helped underline how comfortably his music moves between punk energy, pop accessibility, and mainstream rock intensity. Across his work, he has become known for turning personal feelings into anthems that feel immediate and unfiltered, while his high-energy performances and theatrical presentation keep him one of the most visible names in British rock-influenced pop.
