Biography

Yuko Goto is a Japanese voice actress and singer who has worked as a seiyuu singer in the part of Japan's anime music scene where acting and singing overlap, particularly through character-focused releases shaped by expressive delivery and a voice-driven identity. Her career sits within the broader anison and seiyuu landscape, where voice actresses perform anime-related songs alongside their screen roles and other music projects tied to animated series. She is known for anime and visual novel roles, formerly worked for Production Baobab, has been associated with Lantis, and also uses the names Ryūmi Yanai, Shino Kujou, and Kikuko Mita, with Shino Kujou used specifically for visual novels. In "Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu," she performed "Koi no Mikuru Densetsu (恋のミクル伝説)," the opening theme, and also sang on "Tomare! (止マレ!)," an ending theme for the same series. She was reported in June 2012 to be suffering from a rare autoimmune disease and stepped away from work for an undetermined period to focus on her health. In February 2026, she reunited with the SOS Brigade voice cast for a revival screening stage greeting for The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, adding another notable appearance to her long-running career.
