WEAVER (ウィーバー) is a Japanese J-rock and piano rock band from Hyogo Prefecture. Formed in April 2004 by schoolmates from Kobe High School, the group built its early identity around piano-led arrangements and a live sound shaped by Kobe’s local scene.
The band’s current three-member lineup was established in 2007 and consists of Shota Okuno (bass and backing vocals), Yuji Sugimoto (piano and lead vocals), and Tooru Kawabe (drums and backing vocals). WEAVER performed mainly at the live house VARIT in Kobe during its early years, strengthening its connection to the city that helped define its history. Their birthdays are 1988.8.18 for Shota Okuno, 1988.12.3 for Yuji Sugimoto, and 1988.6.28 for Tooru Kawabe.
