Wasureranneyo is a Japanese rock band formed in Tokyo in December 2008 by vocalist and guitarist Takahiro Shibata, bassist Takuya Umezu and drummer Koji Sakata. Its sound is built on loud, punk-derived guitar under lyrics Shibata draws from the joys and frustrations of ordinary daily life, sung with more heat than polish, and the group made its name through relentless live work around the city.
Signed to Office Augusta, the band made its major-label debut in August 2011 with the single "C kara Hajimaru ABC", whose title track served as an ending theme for the anime Gyakkyo Burai Kaiji: Hakairoku-hen — an anime credit on its very first major release.
The line-up thinned over the following decade. Sakata left in 2015, leaving Shibata and Umezu as a duo, and Umezu followed in 2018. Since then Shibata has been the band's only formal member, recording and touring with support musicians.
Recent work has brought the name back to anime audiences. "Nanmo Nee" was written as the opening theme for Yani Neko, which began broadcasting on 2 July 2026, and the single "I Love Yuu" drew renewed attention through its connection with Futsuu no Keionbu.
