Wasureranneyo

Wasureranneyo is a Japanese rock band formed in Tokyo in December 2008 by vocalist and guitarist Takahiro Shibata, bassist Takuya Umezu and drummer Koji Sakata. Centered on loud, punk-derived guitar and lyrics Shibata draws from the joys and frustrations of ordinary daily life, the group built its following through live performances in Tokyo. In 2010 it placed in rockin'on's newcomer contest RO69JACK09/10. After signing to Office Augusta, Wasureranneyo made its major-label debut in August 2011 with the single "C Kara Hajimaru ABC". The title track was used as the ending theme for Gyakkyo Burai Kaiji: Hakairoku-hen. Its first album, the self-titled "Wasureranneyo", followed in March 2012. Koji Sakata left in 2015, reducing the band to Shibata and Umezu, and Umezu left in 2018. Since May 2018, when Shibata became the only formal member, Wasureranneyo has effectively operated as his solo project, recording and touring with support musicians. The band later contributed "Nanmonee" as the opening theme for Yani Neko, which began broadcasting on 2 July 2026. The single "I Love Yuu" also drew renewed attention through its connection with Futsuu no Keionbu.
