Uso to Chameleon (嘘とカメレオン)

Uso to Chameleon (嘘とカメレオン) is a rock band from Tokyo, formed on April 1, 2014. The group emerged after Cham(.△) (チャム(.△)) had previously fronted the university band Fernandez. In August 2014, they held the jointly organized live event 「音の鳴る木」 at Shimokitazawa ReG; that was also when Shibue Asahi (渋江アサヒ) joined on bass. Takura Yuki left in December 2015. In 2016, the band released its first music video, 「されど奇術師は賽を振る」. Aoyama Takaumi (青山拓心) then joined officially on April 1, 2017, the year Uso to Chameleon also released its first nationally distributed mini album, 『予想は嘘よ』. In 2018, the band made its major-label debut with the album 『ヲトシアナ』 on King Records. Its first major digital single, "0," was selected as the theme for the mobile phone game BLEACH: Brave Souls, and its first major physical single, "Mononoke in the Fiction (モノノケ・イン・ザ・フィクション)," was used as the OP of Kyokou Suiri (In/Spectre). On March 11, 2018, while traveling to HIROSHIMA MUSIC STADIUM -ハルバン'18-, the band was involved in a traffic accident. Watanabe Sosuke (渡辺壮亮) and Shibue Asahi (渋江アサヒ) suffered minor injuries, and Aoyama Takaumi (青山拓心) sustained a lumbar fracture. Afterward, Uso to Chameleon released the mini album 『ポストヒューマンNo.5』 in 2019, the second album 『JUGEM』 in 2020, and the digital single 『匿名の讃歌』 in January 2022. Before entering hiatus in summer 2022, the lineup consisted of Cham(.△) (チャム(.△)) on vocals, Sugeno Yuta (菅野悠太) and Watanabe Sosuke (渡辺壮亮) on guitar, Shibue Asahi (渋江アサヒ) on bass, and Aoyama Takaumi (青山拓心) on drums. The band’s final live, 嘘とカメレオンLAST LIVE “わをん”, was held at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO on July 9, 2022, and the unreleased song 「Lila」 followed on July 10.
