Biography
ULTRA TOWER was a Japanese band formed on 28 July 2007 and active until 20 March 2017. The group’s lineup consisted of Kengo Oohama on vocals, guitar, and composition; Wataru Terauchi on guitar and lyrics; Yuu Hiragaki on bass, chorus, and leader duties; and Ari Takeuchi on drums.
From the beginning, ULTRA TOWER was built around a stable four-member lineup that gave the band a focused and unified identity. Kengo Oohama handled vocals, guitar, and composition, while Wataru Terauchi contributed guitar and lyrics, and the rhythm section of Yuu Hiragaki and Ari Takeuchi completed the sound with bass, chorus, leader duties, and drums.
Musically, the band’s profile was shaped by songwriting and guitar-driven arrangements, supported by a compact setup that emphasized cohesion over excess. That approach helped ULTRA TOWER stand out as a concise but distinctive presence in Japanese rock, with a sound that could attract listeners interested in anime-related music pages as well as broader rock audiences.
Although the band’s active period was relatively short, its history is clearly defined by its 2007 formation, the consistency of its four-piece lineup, and its 2017 disbandment. For listeners exploring Japanese rock and anime-related music, ULTRA TOWER remains a noteworthy name because of its tight creative structure and its clear place within that scene.
