Biography
Treasure is a South Korean–Japanese boy group formed by YG Entertainment in 2019 through the reality-survival program YG Treasure Box. Composed of 12 members, the group debuted on August 7, 2020 with the single album The First Step: Chapter One and the lead track "BOY".
From the start, Treasure built its identity around polished choreography, strong vocal performances, and energetic pop production. Their sound blends K-pop with pop and hip-hop elements, helping define a performance-focused style that made the group stand out quickly in the competitive idol scene.
The group also has a notable place in anime music through "Beautiful," which was used as the 13th ending theme for the Japanese anime Black Clover in 2021. That connection strengthened their visibility beyond the standard idol market and linked Treasure more directly with anime audiences.
In 2022, Treasure continued its rise with The Second Step: Chapter One and the lead single "JIKJIN". The B-side "DARARI" also drew additional attention through TikTok, adding to the group’s growing profile as one of YG Entertainment's flagship new acts.
