TREASURE is a South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment on January 28, 2019 through the survival program YG Treasure Box. Originally assembled as a 12-member lineup of Korean and Japanese trainees, the group debuted on August 7, 2020 with the single album The First Step: Chapter One and the lead track "BOY". Their releases blend k-pop, pop, and hip-hop elements. In 2021, they continued that debut series with THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT and made their Japanese debut with an album of the same title.
In anime, "BEAUTIFUL" was used as the 13th ending theme for Black Clover in 2021, and "Here I Stand" was later used as another ending theme for the series. In 2022, TREASURE released The Second Step: Chapter One with the lead single "JIKJIN", while the B-side "DARARI" drew additional attention through TikTok. The group began as 12 members and has continued as 10 since 2022 following the departures of Bang Ye-dam and Takata Mashiho.
