the generous

the generous is a Japanese J-pop group formed in 2008. It recorded for Avex Trax. Yoko Yazawa was a member, and contemporary coverage described the project as a duo of Yoko Yazawa on vocals and Katsumi Ohnishi on guitar. At the start of its recorded career, the group became associated with the anime "Skip Beat!", for which it performed the OP themes "Dream Star" and "Renaissance". "Dream Star" appeared on a mini-album released on October 29, 2008, placing the band's anime work at the beginning of its recording history.
