Shion Tsuji (辻詩音) is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Yokohama, Japan, born on January 10, 1990. Her early interest in poetry and lyrics shaped the writing style that later defined her music, and she began composing at 15 after taking up the guitar.
After leaving high school during her first year, she moved to Tokyo to pursue a singing career and began building attention through self-directed performances rather than a conventional industry route. In autumn 2007, Tsuji self-produced music for a commemorative event for 200 people, a performance that drew the attention of Sony Music and became an important turning point in her career.
In 2008, she signed with DefSTAR Records and released her debut single "Candy kicks". From that release onward, Shion Tsuji established herself as a Japanese singer-songwriter whose work was shaped by early lyric writing, guitar-based composition, and the move from independent appearances to a professional recording career.
