SEVENTEEN is a South Korean boy band formed by Pledis Entertainment. Built around thirteen members, the group officially debuted in 2015 with the EP 17 Carat. It is organized into three performance-based units—hip-hop, vocal, and performance. SEVENTEEN is also known as a self-producing act, with members heavily involved in songwriting, composition, arrangement, and performance direction, a role that has helped define their identity within contemporary K-pop.
Musically, SEVENTEEN have moved between bright, youthful pop and energetic dance tracks, while also taking on more expansive, emotionally driven releases. Their work balances rap-driven songs, polished vocal arrangements, and tightly synchronized choreography. That evolution can be heard across Boys Be, Love & Letter, Going Seventeen, FML, Seventeenth Heaven, and 17 Is Right Here, projects that reflect a group steadily expanding its sound while maintaining cohesion and creative control. They also performed "Tiny Light", the ending theme for Beastars, and have built a global following through consistent output.
