Ryokuoushoku Shakai (緑黄色社会)

Ryokuoushoku Shakai (緑黄色社会) is a Japanese four-piece pop rock band from Aichi. Formed by four friends, three of whom were classmates, the group consists of Haruko Nagaya on vocals, Issei Kobayashi on guitar, Peppe on keyboards, and Shingo Anami on bass. The band grew out of a high school light music club in Nagoya and marks 4 July 2012, the date of its first live performance with Anami, as its formation anniversary. Originally a five-member group, it has performed as a four-piece since drummer Yasuchika Sugie left in December 2015. Its music draws on both j-pop and j-rock, and "Mela!" became one of its best-known songs. Ryokuoushoku Shakai finished second at the 2013 SCHOOL OF LOCK! x Sony Music 10dai Ongaku Festival “Senkou Riot.” After early releases such as Nice To Meet You?? and ADORE, the band made its major-label debut on Epic Records Japan with 溢れた水の行方 in 2018. Its anime work includes "Shout Baby," the ending theme for Boku no Hero Academia, "Hana ni Natte (花になって)," the opening theme for Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, and "Party!!," the ending theme for Dungeon Meshi. In 2026, the band announced its sixth original album, あたまご, scheduled for release in September.
