Psychic Lover

PSYCHIC LOVER is a Japanese rock group formed in 1997 and signed to Nippon Columbia. The act centers on vocalist Yoshiyuki "YOFFY" Wada (和田 よしゆき) and guitarist Tatsuhiro "IMAJO" Imajo (今城 龍寛), with 小川謙司 also listed among its members. Originally, PSYCHIC LOVER consisted of six members, but YOFFY and IMAJO became the core pair that carried the group into wider recognition. That lineup history gives the band a clear identity in the anison scene, where guitar-led arrangements and strong vocal hooks are central to many anime songs. Much of PSYCHIC LOVER’s catalog has been used as opening and ending themes for anime and Japanese television series, making the group a familiar name for listeners searching for anime music artists. In October 2025, the band also released a streaming single built around "JUDGEMENT KNIGHTS OF THUNDER" to mark Shun Kaido’s birthday, linking the act once again with The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Beyond the band, YOFFY has also collaborated with Eizo Sakamoto, the vocalist of Anthem and Animetal, as well as Masaaki Endoh, Sakura Nogawa, Ai Tokunaga, Ryoko Shintani, Mayumi Gojou, Sister MAYO, and Yukari Fukui on other projects. Those collaborations further connect PSYCHIC LOVER to the broader Japanese anime music and vocal performance network.
