Monkey Majik

Monkey Majik (モンキーマジック) is a Japanese-Canadian pop rock band formed in 2000 in Sendai, Japan. The group consists of the Canadian brothers Maynard Plant and Blaise Plant, both lead vocalists and guitarists, along with the Japanese members Tax on drums and Dick on bass. Signed to Binyl Records, a subsidiary of Avex Records, and managed by Edwards Entertainment Group, the band has been active since 2000. Its blend of Eastern and Western pop rock has led to descriptions of Monkey Majik as a "hybrid band." Beyond its releases and live performances, the band's music has also appeared in television programs, commercials, and movies. Monkey Majik performed the "Nurarihyon no Mago" opening themes "Sunshine" and "Fast Forward" and the "Fruits Basket" ending theme "Eden". The group was also named Goodwill Ambassadors for the 80th anniversary of Japanese-Canadian relations.
