Nurarihyon no Mago

Nurarihyon no Mago centers on Rikuo Nura, a part-youkai and part-human boy who grows up as the young master of the Nura Clan. Surrounded by youkai of all shapes and sizes, he treats them like family, but he quickly realizes that his classmates see such creatures very differently. To them, youkai are terrifying beings from folklore that eat children and revel in bloodshed, and that pressure pushes Rikuo to swear that he will live as a normal human. That hope is difficult to sustain. Rikuo’s life becomes tangled with his youkai attendant, who attends school beside him under the name Tsurara Oikawa; Yura Keikain, a young onmyouji; and his close friend Kiyotsugu, a boy obsessed with youkai who wants to prove they really exist. As rival youkai and other supernatural threats move against the people he cares about, Rikuo is forced to confront the heritage he has tried to reject. To protect what matters most, he must accept that he is the grandson of the legendary Nurarihyon and awaken the power that transforms him at night into a youkai. Only then can he become worthy of leading the Nura Clan.
