Miyu Irino is a Japanese seiyuu, singer, and stage performer from Tokyo, Japan, born on February 19, 1988. Working in J-pop and anime-related music, he has released material through Kiramune and later moved to Nippon Columbia. He is also known by the nicknames Miyu-Miyu and Miyu-kun, although he has said people should usually call him Miyu-kun rather than Miyu-Miyu. His profile includes blood type AB, hobbies such as dancing, playing soccer, and singing, and skills in guitar, dancing, and juggling. He has also listed watermelon as a favorite fruit, I gotta believe! as a favorite saying, and tongue twisters as a non-favorite.
Anime and game fans know Irino best for voicing Sora in the Kingdom Hearts series, and he also played the leading role in the movie Monochrome Girl. Since May 2010, he and Hiroshi Kamiya have been part of the Kiramune unit KAmiYU, which sang the Karneval ending theme Reason and the Mokei Senshi Gunpla Builders Beginning G theme song My Pround, My Play, followed by two mini-albums and one single. As a solo artist since 2009, Irino has released seven mini-albums, six singles, two albums, and one best-of collection through Kiramune. He later moved to Nippon Columbia, where his first single Who I Am was scheduled for release on July 30, 2025. Since 2013, he has also explored theatre and musicals, and in 2017 he took a short hiatus of about six months to study abroad. He announced his marriage on September 3, 2021, and he remains close friends with fellow seiyuu Mamoru Miyano, whom he met in elementary school through The Himawari Theatre Group before later joining Junction. In 2026, he announced the mini-album HUMOR, a mini live event, and the summer festival Noryosai 2026, and he was also chosen to perform the opening theme for the TV anime 神の庭付き楠木邸.
