Miwako Okuda is a Japanese solo singer associated with ballads, pop and rock, and was signed to BMG JAPAN INC. She began singing in childhood and, after graduating from junior high school, decided to pursue a professional career as a vocalist.
She was discovered while performing live with a friend's band. That opportunity led her to travel to Tokyo and start her music career. In anime, she performed "Born", the opening theme of Le Chevalier D'Eon, and "Shizuku", the ending theme of Great Teacher Onizuka.
