Marina Kawano is a Japanese singer and anison artist born on May 21, 1990, in Kasuga, Japan. She first gained wider recognition after winning the 4th ANIMAX Anison Grand Prix, and she made her major debut as Marina Kawano (河野マリナ) with Sony Music Artists. Working across pop and anison, she built an early identity around anime theme songs and a clear, energetic vocal style.
One of her best-known early songs is "Morning Arch," which she performed as the opening theme for A-Channel. In 2016, Kawano left Sony Music Artists, moved to DEAR☆STAGE, and began using her original kanji name, 河野万里奈. That transition marked a new phase in her career while keeping her closely tied to anime music and the Japanese anison scene.
