LONGMAN

LONGMAN is a Japanese pop punk band formed in 2012 in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture. The group came out of a music circle at Matsuyama University and originally consisted of Sawa Yoriki, Hiroya Hirai and Yuki Horikawa. The band released its first full album, "Neverland", in 2014. It followed that with the mini album "tick" in 2015 and the full album "SO YOUNG" in 2016. In 2017, Sawa Yoriki temporarily suspended live activities because of throat problems. LONGMAN resumed performances in 2018, released the mini album "WALKING", and in 2019 announced a major-label debut with Sony Music Associated Records. In its major-label period, anime theme work became a central part of the band's career. "Wish on" connected LONGMAN to "Naruto", and later songs included "spiral" for "Mushoku Tensei" and "Underclass HERO" for "Gintama". The band released the major-label albums "Just A Boy" in 2020 and "This is Youth" in 2021, followed by the EP "ライラ" in 2022. In 2025, LONGMAN released the music video for the ending song of Gintama: Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class. That same year, Yuki Horikawa graduated from the band, and LONGMAN continued as a duo of Sawa Yoriki and Hiroya Hirai.
