LAST ALLIANCE

LAST ALLIANCE is a Japanese rock band based in Machida, Tokyo. The group formed in June 2002 after the breakup of S★CREATERS and BERMUDA. Its lineup consists of Ryusuke Anzai on vocals and guitar, Takahiko Matsumara on vocals and bass, Shingo Sano on guitar, and Hiroshi Ozawa on drums. The band first worked through the independent label TEARS LIBRARY, then made its major debut with VAP in 2007. Over that period, LAST ALLIANCE developed a style drawing on indie rock, j-rock, melodic hardcore, pop punk, and post-punk revival, built around dual vocals, driving guitars, and sharp melodies. For anime audiences, the band is known for "Shissou," the ending theme for "Ouran Koukou Host Club" (Ouran High School Host Club), and for "Hekireki," the opening theme for "Hajime no Ippo." In 2008, LAST ALLIANCE released the album "the sum," which compiled material from recent singles, including "Drag On" from "Signal 004" and "Katahiza no Yogore" from "Always in My Heart."
