Kitri

Kitri is a Japanese sister duo made up of Mona and Hina, known for writing songs, singing, and performing piano four-hands together. From the start, the project has stood out for the interplay between their voices and the way they build arrangements around the piano. Mona, the older sister, handles vocals and the lower register of the piano, while Hina, the younger sister, contributes vocals, the higher register of the piano, guitar, and percussion. That division gives Kitri a distinctive musical balance and a sound shaped by both precision and intimacy. Both sisters studied piano from childhood, and that classical foundation remains central to Kitri's identity. Mona later studied composition at a music conservatory, while Hina majored in the science of art at university, bringing a broader creative perspective to the duo's work. Kitri's music is built on detailed piano arrangements, close vocal interplay, and an acoustic-minded approach to songwriting. Their blend of classical training and contemporary sensibility gives their songs a clear place in Japan's music scene and makes the duo especially recognizable to listeners looking for refined, melodic pop with a strong instrumental core.
