Biography

Kinniku Shoujo Tai, also known as KING-SHOW, is a Japanese rock band formed in 1982. The group blends hard rock, alternative metal, and avant-garde metal, and its name means "Muscle Girl Band" in Japanese. It became a recognizable presence in Japan's rock scene during the late 1980s and late 1990s, especially for listeners drawn to heavy and unconventional rock styles. The band's lineup is associated with vocalist Kenji Ohtsuki, who is also a novelist and a member of Tokusatsu, along with bassist Yuuichirou Uchida and guitarists Toshiaki Honjou and Fumihiko Kitsutaka. Kinniku Shoujo Tai broke up in 1999 before regrouping in 2006, and it has been linked with Tokuma Japan Communications Co., Ltd. In 2025 and 2026, Japanese media also revisited Kenji Ohtsuki's career around his 60th birthday, underscoring the band's continued visibility.
