Biography

Kano is a Japanese singer known for her soft, girly voice and for building her career through online covers of Vocaloid and anime songs. She first drew attention on Nico Nico Douga, where her performances helped establish her as a recognizable name in the cover-song scene. Her earliest cover was an 8-bit arrangement of "Ren'ai Circulation," one of the opening themes from Bakemonogatari, uploaded in 2010. She later gained wider recognition with "Hello / How Are You," which reached the top of Nico Nico Douga's rankings for one week and became one of her best-known performances. Kano also moved into original releases as a doujin artist. Her first album, Bambino, was released in 2011 and featured Vocaloid songs, followed by six more albums and participation in EXIT TUNES' Kami Kyoku wo Utattemita series as well as several PolyphonicBranch albums. In 2015, she made her major debut with "Stella-rium," the opening theme for the TV anime Houkago no Pleiades. In addition to singing, Kano has worked as a Vocaloid producer, debuting with "Toumei Ningen no Nihilism," and has contributed to PV work for Vocaloid songs such as mato's "hollow" and Kemu's "Rokuchounen to Ichiya Monogatari." Her career bridges anime music, Vocaloid culture, and internet cover performance, making her a notable figure for listeners interested in Japanese anime-related music scenes.
