Kankaku Piero (感覚ピエロ)

Kankaku Piero (感覚ピエロ) was a Japanese rock band from Osaka, formed in July 2013 and active until its disbandment in October 2025. The group began when 秋月琢登, then working as a booking manager at 北堀江club vijon, invited musicians from the bands around him whose playing he found especially interesting. Soon after forming, the band launched its own label, JIJI RECORDS, and took a self-managed approach to recording, merchandising, CDs, and live activity. Its name was inspired by the novel 『重力ピエロ』, and its music centered on guitar-driven rock with melodic hooks. Two months after formation, Kankaku Piero released its first self-produced mini album, 『ソンナノナイヨ』, following the music video 「メリーさん」. Early independent sales through live performances and mail order exceeded 5,000 copies. The band then expanded through one-man tours and festival appearances. In 2015, it held its first self-produced 東名阪ワンマンツアー, which sold out, and later released the nationally distributed mini albums 『Break』, 『不可能可能化』, and 『等身大アンバランス』. In 2016, 「拝啓、いつかの君へ」 became the theme song for the drama 『ゆとりですがなにか』, which also used 「O・P・P・A・I」. In 2017, the band wrote 「疑問疑答」 for the film 『22年目の告白 -私が殺人犯です-』. It later reached anime audiences with "Haruka Mirai (ハルカミライ)" and "Rakugaki Page (落書きペイジ)", both opening themes of Black Clover. In 2017, 秋月琢登 became representative director of 株式会社JIJI, a company established with investment from avex, エー・チーム, and JIJI RECORDS. In 2020, the company adopted a fully independent structure. Meanwhile, Kankaku Piero released its first full album, 『色色人色』, in 2018, followed later that year by the limited single 『ありあまるフィクション』. In 2019, it issued its first best album, 『全裸』, and played its largest one-man concert at 幕張メッセ.
