Itowokashi (イトヲカシ) is a Japanese two-man unit formed in 2012 by vocalist Kashitarou Itou and multi-instrumentalist Ryo Miyata, also known as LeftyMonsterP. The two had been middle school classmates and played in their first band together before reuniting after separate musical activities. Drawing on Itou’s background as an utaite and Miyata’s work on guitar, bass, keyboard, and arrangement, the duo emerged from the online vocal scene with a partnership built around distinct roles and a shared focus on melody.
The group first issued the mini albums "ホシアイ", "音呼治心", and "軌唱伝結" through self-release. Itowokashi then widened its audience through nationwide street-live tours and entered full-scale activity in 2016. That year, the duo released its first nationally distributed mini album, "捲土重来", and made its major-label debut on avex trax with "スターダスト/宿り星". "Yadoriboshi (宿り星)" served as the ending theme for "Sousei no Onmyouji", and later "Aoi Honoo (蒼い炎)" was used as an ending theme for "Black Clover".
Musically, Itowokashi worked in J-pop and pop-rock, with an emphasis on clear melodies, band-oriented arrangements, polished production, and the contrast between expressive vocals and tightly constructed instrumentation. After 2018, the unit's official activity effectively ceased, and both members continued their careers individually.
