Hemenway was a Japanese rock band from Japan, formed in 2011 and signed to Kioon Music. The group came together after connections made at Berklee College of Music in Boston: after graduating in 2008, Isaac and THE CHARM PARK worked as a songwriting team in Los Angeles, and a reunion in Shibuya led Isaac, THE CHARM PARK, Toshi, and Ogaching to form the band in Japan. Their music combined melodic rock arrangements with pop elements, while Isaac’s use of English, Korean, and Japanese also shaped the band’s multilingual lyrics.
Hemenway made its major debut with the single "Listen" on November 2, 2011. In March 2012, the band held its first one-man live, "Everybody, Listen!" Later that year, it appeared at Japan Expo 2012 for its first performance outside Japan. From January to October 2013, Hemenway released ten consecutive digital singles, then issued its first album, "The Music", on December 25, 2013. In anime, the band performed "By My Side (バイマイサイド)", the ending theme for "Naruto". On March 24, 2014, Hemenway announced its disbandment, citing differences in the members’ musical goals and direction.
