GOING UNDER GROUND is a Japanese rock band formed in 1991 in Okegawa, Saitama Prefecture. Signed to Victor Entertainment, the group is sometimes referred to as just Going. Its name was taken from the British hit single "Going Underground" by The Jam.
Their music blends rock and roll with ska, reggae, and other influences. The lineup includes Matsumoto Sou on vocals and guitar, Nakazawa Hiroki on guitar and vocals, Ishihara Satoshi on bass, and Kohno Takehiro on drums and vocals. Itoh Yoichi also appears in the group’s history as a keyboardist. With several members handling vocals, GOING UNDER GROUND has been able to incorporate both lead singing and harmony across its instrumentation.
GOING UNDER GROUND also performed anime theme songs. These include "Listen to the Stereo" for Katekyou Hitman Reborn!, "Breakthrough" for Fairy Tail, and "Kaze wo Yobe (風を呼べ)" for Yowamushi Pedal. Their official website is https://goingunderground.tokyo/.
