Fairouz Ai

Fairouz Ai is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with Mausu Promotion. Born on July 6, 1993, in Tokyo, she is the daughter of a Japanese mother and an Egyptian father, and she was named after the Lebanese singer Fairuz. From the fifth grade of elementary school until graduation, she attended the Cairo Japanese School in Giza, Egypt, before returning to Japan for junior high school. During those school years she became familiar with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, an interest that led her to pursue voice acting. Although her parents initially disapproved of her career plans, she studied at a graphic design vocational school and later worked for a year as a dental assistant to save enough money for voice acting training. After training at the Pro-Fit voice acting institute, she made her anime debut in 2019 as Hibiki Sakura, the protagonist of How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?, a role that introduced her to a wider audience. She won the Best New Actress award at the 14th Seiyu Awards in 2020, later voiced characters including Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Manatsu Natsuumi/Cure Summer in Tropical-Rouge! Precure, and Power in Chainsaw Man, and moved to Raccoon Dog in 2022 after Pro-Fit ended its management operations. In 2025 she transferred to Mausu Promotion and resumed full activity after a period of restrictions related to PTSD, and she also received the 19th Seiyu Award for foreign film and drama. Alongside her acting work, she has performed anime ending themes including "KisuIda! (キスイダ！)" for "Kyuukyoku Shinka shita Full Dive RPG ga Genjitsu yori mo Kusoge Dattara", "Darling in the Night" for "Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!", and "Suki ga Levechi (好きがレベチ)" for "Akuyaku Reijou Level 99". In June 2026, she was announced as part of the additional cast for the TV anime 世界最強の魔女、始めました alongside Honoka Inoue, and that same month she said in an interview that she first learned of a Re:Zero appearance through a social media comment.
