Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!

Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! follows Minoru Kagenou, a boy who has been fixated for as long as he can remember on becoming as strong as possible. His obsession does not come from a desire to be recognized by others, so he undertakes all kinds of rigorous training while doing everything he can to blend in with the crowd. By day he pretends to be a completely average student; by night he arms himself with a crowbar and ruthlessly thrashes local biker gangs. When a truck accident seemingly brings his ambitions to a sudden end, Minoru spends his final moments lamenting his powerlessness, knowing that no matter how much he trained, he could not overcome human limitations. Instead of dying, Minoru reawakens as Cid, the second child of the noble Kagenou family, in another world where magic is commonplace and the power he so desired is finally within his grasp. Under the moniker Shadow, he establishes Shadow Garden, a group whose sole purpose is to combat the enigmatic Cult of Diablos, an organization born from Cid's own imagination. As Shadow Garden grows in both membership and influence, with members such as Alpha and Beta and allies and rivals like Claire Kagenou, Alexia Midgar, and Rose Oriana caught up in Cid's hidden life, it becomes increasingly apparent that the Cult of Diablos is not as fictional as he had intended.
