Biography
Chata (茶太), born November 21, 1979, is a Japanese singer and J-pop vocalist best known for performing theme songs for anime and video games. Her work sits at the intersection of commercial theme-song production and Japan’s independent music scene, where vocal artists move between studio releases, game projects, and collaborative doujin circles.
That role has made Chata a familiar name for listeners who follow Japanese vocal music beyond mainstream pop. Her performances connect anime and game soundtracks with the broader network of artists working in self-produced and collaborative settings, and she has also participated in various doujin music circles. In addition to that work, she runs her own private circle, Usagi Kinoko, reflecting her long-standing presence in doujin music and her continued association with anime and game themes. She has also been associated with the label Lantis.
