CASCADE is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in August 1993. Its sound blends visual kei aesthetics with pop, punk, and rock influences, alongside a bright, melodic approach shaped by strong new wave elements. The group’s lineup has included MASASHI, TAMA, KAGEMARU, MIYUKI, and Q-SHI, and it has been associated with Victor Entertainment and the official CASCADE web presence.
From its early years, CASCADE built its identity around energetic arrangements and catchy hooks, offering a lighter, more playful contrast to the heavier or gothic side of visual kei. The band performed "sexy sexy," the ending theme of "Gakkou no Kaidan." CASCADE disbanded in August 2002, then reunited six years later. After that comeback, the band released Vivo in 2009.
