Biography

bless4 is a Japanese J-pop vocal group formed in 1996 by siblings from the Kawamitsu family. Its roots lie in the performance unit “Flying Dragon,” created in the United States with a style derived from taekwondo techniques. After the family returned from the United States to Okinawa in 1997, they also performed locally under the name 飛龍(ひりゅう)インターナショナル. The group made its major debut through BMG JAPAN in 2003 with the single “Good Morning! Mr.Sunshine.” In 2004, the Okinawa-only single “ガジュマルの下で” became a local hit and was later released nationwide. The album “ALL 4 ONE” followed in 2005, before the group shifted to independent activity. After bless4 left Watanabe Entertainment, AKASHI established the private office 川満アート・テイメント in Kawasaki, Kanagawa in 2006. The group released the single “絆の花” in 2007, made its European debut with “Dandelion” in September 2010, and issued the full album and short-movie DVD “夢つむぎ” in 2011. bless4 also performed “Tsuki no mou Hanbun (月のもう半分)” as the ending theme for “Mahoutsukai no Yome.” After AIKI announced his departure in 2022, bless4 has continued as a trio of Akino, Kanasa, and AKASHI.
