BAND-MAID, stylized as BAND-MAID and formerly as BAND-MAID®, is a Japanese hard rock, rock, and J-rock band formed in July 2013. The group combines a driving guitar-led sound with a maid image modeled on Japanese maid cafés, which has become a defining part of its identity. Originally signed to Gump Records, an imprint of the Platinum Passport artist management and talent agency, the band moved to Nippon Crown's sub-label Crown Stones in 2016, then to Revolver Records in 2019, and signed with Pony Canyon in late 2020. For international releases, BAND-MAID has worked with JPU Records since 2016.
The band released Unseen World in January 2021 and continued its anime connection in 2025, announcing the EP SCOOOOOP for October with anime theme songs and sharing music videos tied to Rock Is a Lady's Modesty and TOUGEN ANKI, including opening-song and ending-song collaborations as well as a final-episode special video.
The lineup features Miku Kobato (rhythm guitar, backing vocals, occasional lead vocals), Kanami Toono (lead guitar, backing vocals), Akane Hirose (drums, backing vocals), Misa (bass), and Saiki Atsumi (lead and backing vocals), all active since 2013.
